Pune Smart City Ideathon

The goal of the Smart Cities Mission is to support essential infrastructure, provide its residents with a respectable standard of living, a clean and sustainable environment, and the implementation of intelligent solutions. To give its residents a unique urban experience that stands out from the rest, Smart City must restore its rich waterfront and lakes and integrate them into the fabric of daily life. It will be a city where people may live comfortably and safely. Creating a wave of innovative employment opportunities where everyone, regardless of age, creed, or gender, may take use of everything the city has to offer. In order to encourage individuals to generate ideas for solutions to pressing problems, we at VIIT propose to hold a Smart City Ideathon.

Domains:

• Public Health & Security

          Public health is fundamental to attainment of peace and security and is dependent upon the fullest co-operation of individuals.

• Education & Employment

          The issue of education and employment exists in different context in modern times. So why not combine this and try to solve this issue.

• Mobility

          Making Congestion free commuting leads to a stress-free life which makes better quality of living.

• Environment Conservation

          Improving methods of Energy Conservation so as to prevent pollution, climatic-changes, resource depletion etc technically.

A total of 105 teams from VIIT submitted their ideas, concepts, and solutions for variety of issue statements in the above domains including:

• Freedom from waste
• Freedom from traffic management
• Freedom from crime
• Freedom from water scarcity
• Greenhouse and renewable energy
