About BAJA 

Over the years Baja has grown in popularity and has become a bigger event nationally. It serves as a platform for young engineering talent to showcase their skills and acquire a real life experience while over coming obstacle and challenges.

The 13th edition of BAJA SAEINDIA in the coming year 2020 will be altogether a different scenario in terms of the level of vehicles.

This time we have received a total of 282 registrations from all over the country. Since its inception, BAJA has inspired many brilliant minds to come up with mind boggling innovations and developments and this time also BAJA will ignite the passion which will generate the spark to create a better version of vehicles. This year Baja SAEINDIA will be organized at two different locations which are Pithampur, M.P and Chitkara University, Punjab. 120 teams for m-BAJA will be participating in Pithampur, Indore, M.P while 80 teams will be competing at Chitkara University, Punjab.

A total of 53 e-Baja teams will be participating at the main event. This is a big step towards awareness among individuals about alternate energy sources and sustainable development. E- BAJA is a strong initiative and we look forward to work for the betterment of technology and environment.

Journey of Vishwaracer Electric Baja 

We the team vishwaracer started to fabricate the vehicle in the month of august 2019. We build a team of Baja having a different domains such as mechanical electrical, brakes suspension, steering, drive train, marketing, sponsorship, purchase etc.. started to collect the funds by sponsorship. Initially we got a sponsorship amount for registration purpose. A after registering, we compited for EBaja virtuals at chitkara university. Cleared the virtuals and qualifies for the main event which is held at pithampur indore from 22^nd jan to 26^th jan 2020.

We have done our team registration on 22^nd jan enterd in to the pit. First day, we have lined up for the TI, it is not happed due to the closure of events for the day.

Second day we have lined up for electrical check, judges have inspected our vehicle and some correction insisted to do, also mechanical TI faced in that also some changes told to do.

Third day we have made changes, as per the judges’ comments. Faced the 2^nd attempt TI for both electrical and mechanical. We cleared the TI and got the sticker on our car. Thought of going for the brake test but it was too late to face the brake test.

Fourth day morning we cleared the brake test in the first attempt. We are so, proud that participating for the first time in the event.

Same day, we have did acceleration test our team was the 3^rd among all over India. At 3.30 participated in the endurance test, total of 9 laps completed by the driver.

Overall result of the event:

We stood 4^th rank all over india & 3^rd rank in cost and acceleration.
