Competitive Exam Cell
VIIT established a new initiative known as COMPETITIVE EXAM CELL (CEC-VIIT) for all the students aspiring for competitive exams. CEC is exclusively a student activity organized to create awareness about competitive exams held throughout India.
Till date, CEC has organized numerous sessions, with overwhelming response, setting CEC off on a high note. Officers from civil services/military conducted very useful and motivational sessions.
IPS Prateek Thube conducted session to give idea about various facets of civil services. A very interesting session on "MISSION UPSC" was conducted by Dr. Anurag Singh, an ex- sales tax commissioner.
Work in 2019-20:
VISHWARUNI’20 was graced by two eminent personalities - IAS Ravindra Khatale Sir and Brigadier Mr. Sunil Bodhe.
Mr. Ravindra Khatale Sir cleared UPSC in his first attempt itself. He himself is a VIITian, a Mechanical Engineering. He commenced his career in automobile industry and had a 3.5 years of stint with John Deere Tractors.
MR. Ravindra Khatale shared his view on Competitive Exams and strategy of the preparation required. He threw light on the exam pattern and statistical analysis of number of students appearing for the exam. He also shared his experience of interview.
He motivated aspirants to think “out of the box” and study consistently for the examination. He added that meditation could help students of this era to overcome some major distractions like social media and mobile phones.
Brigadier Mr. Sunil Bodhe enlightened the audience with his speech on opportunities in defence sectors.
Mr. Sunil Bodhe threw light on the opportunities for a technical graduate in armed forces and inspired the audience for choosing it as their career ahead. He also gave information about examinations which are conducated for entry into armed forces and various other fields similar to it.
