About IEEE:
IEEE which stands for Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. It helps involve students and professionals within technical and local communities.
IEEE STUDENT BRANCH was established in Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology, Pune in 2006. It is part of IEEE Region 10 that functions independently and is guided by the IEEE Pune Section. Time to time the branch indulges in organising various different technical competitions, events, guest lectures and workshops, by eminent personalities, based on the topics which would give a feel of current technological innovations from all over the world.

IEEE will be essential to the global technical community and to technical professionals everywhere, and be universally recognized for the contributions of technology and of technical professionals in improving global conditions.
Mission:
IEEE's core purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
EVENTS
- LEARN HOW TO WRITE RESEARCH PAPERS
The session was lead by Dr Yogesh Dandawate, professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at VIIT. He shared his experience of research papers and explaining how to write them effectively.
- THE ERROR HUNT
The Error Hunt, the first offline event since the COVID break, organized by IEEE VIIT Student Branch was conducted successfully on 26th August and 27th August 2022. It was a great pleasure to have good amount of participants. The event consists of 3 rounds. Round 1 was conducted on 26th August 2022(online) followed by Round 2 & 3 conducted on 27th August 2022(offline).
- THE ADEPTUS
Adeptus, the first-ever event organized by IEEE VIIT Student Branch was conducted successfully on 26th March and 27th March 2022. It was a great pleasure to have the speakers share their research on different and interesting topics. A special thanks to our director Dr. Vivek S. Deshpande for inaugurating this event and promoting IEEE. We express our gratitude to Prof. Dipti Pandit for guiding us throughout the event. We also thank Prof. Devika Verma for providing us with the information about the speakers.
